Anxiety

Anxiety is demonstrated in different ways, and can be classed as mild or temporary, whilst others experience debilitating symptoms affecting both mental and physical health.

Anxiety can cause panic attacks which are generally an intense reaction to the body’s fight-or-flight response. The body’s stress reactions over-react causing a distressing response for you. It can feel like you are having a heart attack, stroke, or have an overwhelming sense of doom. Or you may feel dizzy, sweaty, nauseous, palpitations.

Reflexology achieves a sense of deep relaxation through application of pressure on specific areas of the feet.

It is non-invasive, no pain, and has no side effects.

Studies have been conducted since the 1970s, all showing a decrease in anxiety compared to control groups.
