I know mine have! Whilst I would never advocate reflexology as a replacement to mainstream medication, it can be very helpful and supportive in reducing many of the symptoms associated with peri-menopause. There are over 30 known symptoms, some well-known such as hot flushes, anxiety, low mood, loss of libido, but others you may not be so aware of such as increase in static electricity, itching skin, tingling fingers/toes, burning tongue, developing new allergies and digestive problems. Reflexology is all about working with the body to rebalance itself. By waking up the nerve endings in the feet, messages are sent to the brain and relevant parts of the body to work more efficiently. This may mean that some glands need to be stimulated whilst others need to be sedated. If you are struggling with peri-menopause, come and try reflexology. It is a gentle, non-invasive therapy, where you lie down, close your eyes, and let me instil a feeling of deep relaxation. And you only have to remove your socks and shoes!
