Self-Care

​Self-care is all about looking after yourself physically, mentally and emotionally.
Whilst prioritising self-care is common sense, it is not something we do, particularly in times of stress.
Why do we neglect self-care? We live in a society where we are expected to work long hours, achieve high targets, and generally be constantly productive, taking away opportunities for self-care.
Whilst some thrive on pressure, we are generally not programmed to cope with regular high levels of adrenaline coursing through our veins. Sustained levels of stress can lead to burnout, anxiety, depression, reduced immunity, headaches, poor sleep, and generally feeling run down.
Reflexology is a wonderful hour of self-care which has been shown to reduce anxiety and depression, improve concentration, increase energy and immunity levels, improve sleep quality and general wellness.
