- Pressure on these points help the body rebalance by normalising the function of these structures, stimulating the body’s healing process, and helping to achieve physical and emotional well-being. - Reflexology is an holistic non-invasive therapy, looking at the person as a whole. After more than 20 years of nursing, I have a deep understanding of the connection of structures and systems within the body. Whilst you may experience a particular symptom, there may be a number of underlying imbalances which, together, produce that symptom. - I have a very strong belief that reflexology has a very important place in our 21st century lifestyles. Helping muscles and circulation in sedentary lifestyles, calming the nervous systems in anxiety, and helps to remove toxins from the body. - Another interesting fact when looking at the feet is that your right foot maps the right side of the body and left foot reflects the left side. - Reflexologists feel crystals in the areas that correspond to the reflex that is imbalanced. The crystals are made up of calcium or uric acid building up in the nerve endings in the feet. Applying pressure to these crystals helps them to break up, so they can be carried away by the bloodstream. I recommend you drink plenty of water after your treatment to help flush these toxins away.
